Hi sorry its been awhile

I have not been blogging because there was not much to blog about.I was sick for a few days then the rains came for a couple of days and they finally ended the day before yesterday. They left us with one of the nicest rainbows I have ever seen and at the same time of perfect sunset. It was Every one was on the beach just in shock at the beauty.

Also got one other picture of this guy stuck in the river. The rain had softened up the sand because every other day people were driving here with no problem.

Brenda and the girls are coming back today so there should be lots to blog about with them here.

Walk in the country

I headed out of town today.I walked threw the country side.I walked for a couple of miles I kept thinking that the road would come to an end but it never did.I need to rent a scouter and head out here again I would like to see how far this road goes.

There was a couple of field the only animals I saw were horses. And of course chickens.

I came across there recycling depot.I didn't even know they did this here.

Then the most amazing thing I watched this guy training his horse. He was training it to do the small steps I don't even know to explain it the hoarse keeps stepping but hardly moving.I watched him for half an hour.

Then later he comes riding up the road with it.I need to learn Spanish he didn't speak English and I know so little Spanish it was imposable to talk to him.

I headed back because it was getting dark out and I thought it looked like rain but it never came but it was dark all afternoon.

Market Day

Went up town for the market.More to just watch the people.

Some things people will buy.Love these masks.

                                                          Would anyone buy these.

I even stopped and watched a baseball game for awhile. Not the best players but the crowed was having fun

This van has been here since we arrived and It keeps getting ripped apart. They tried to take the windshield out and ended up smashing it.Eventually there will be nothing left.

And the set up for the Super Bowl party. There was about 25 people from the park at it.

Sayulita

I was up early had a migraine again so i went to the beach and watched the sun rise.If you click on the pictures they enlarge and you well even see the mist off the Ocean.

Just at sun rise all these black birds flew in.It was like the invasion of the crows.

The first wave of the day.As soon as it starts to get light these guys are out there. It is actually darker then it looks the camera lightens the pictures.

And the first wipe out of the day.Cant wait to see Maddy and Ryleigh doing this. The wipe out part that is.

Later on I went for a walk.I walked around Gringo Hill It took me over an hour.

I came across this wood shop look how old the ban saw is in this picture.

                                                               And the table saws

And the wood lath and they use these every day.Today they were making windows

In mexico if you want a horse you buy one it does not matter if you own property because you just tie them along the road or if you are in a small town there are lots that just wander free.

Do you remember when I had the picture of the little black Porch I said if I see the guy I was going to ask if he wanted to sell it.Well today I ran in to him and he owns a red one to.But no way he would part with ether one of them.

This motor home has been parked on the street since we first got here back in December. There is on plat on it im starting to think its abandoned to.There are parts missing from it.

After my walk I stopped and bought a pollo asado Its BBQ chicken and it comes with coleslaw rice and tacos.I only bought a half chicken and it cost 45 pesos.3.50.It was enough for 2 meals.

Market day

Yesterday I walked Brenda to the bus and that was about all I did.Migraines...
Went for a walk today in town and came across this market. They were selling everything from Jewelry to rugs.

They even had a couple of bands playing and a few people with guitars.

I love the way they sell fruit by the cup 15 pesos

This sure looked good but I didn't try it.

I never know about corn so I try to avoid most things

Could you go through life with this tattoo.I have nothing against tattoos but this is just over the top for me.

Your pet store down here comes to your door. This guy didn't speak English so I never found out if he raises these birds or just catches them in the wild.If he catches them that is something that needs to stop.

Crystal Beach

I left Gerry in Sayulita this morning with the beginnings of a migraine.  He was going to accompany me to Puerto Vallarta to see me off, but we were worried he would end up with a full fledged migraine.    I'm guessing his migraine set in with a vengeance or he would have blogged today.

I just arrived safely in Crystal Beach.  My son picked me up at the airport and the 1 1/2 drive home went by fast.   I could have kept talking with him for hours, but it is after midnight and time to get reacquainted with my bed.

It's been a long and uneventful day, starting with a 1 hour bus ride from Sayulita to Puerto Vallarta.   There was no one in front of me at the airport, so I breezed right through.   There was no one in the seat beside me on the plane, so I was quite comfortable too.

I have a Nexus card, so I was through customs and waiting for my luggage before the luggage was loaded onto the conveyor belt.   I had just enough time to send Gerry an email, update my facebook and use the ladies room, then the luggage came out and mine was the second bag.  I grabbed it and was out of the airport before I saw a single person from my flight in the baggage area.     That Nexus card was one of the best $80 I have ever spent.

Well, it's time for me to call it a day....I sure hope Gerry is feeling better tomorrow...he hasn't answer my email either.  :(

Another part of Sayulita

We went for a walk today in another part of town.I had this idea if we walked along the streets by the  river we would get to the back side of a lot that was for sale.  It backs on to the river.

Brenda liked this picture of the dog under the car.   A dog keeping cool under a car keeping cool under a tarp.   Her and the dog's of Sayulita.

We came across a butcher shop.

With the next customer waiting patiently.

We stumbled on another yard full of roosters there were at least 40 of them.  Brenda thought this wouldn't be a good place to live; too early of a wake up call.

This kid playing his guitar. He just set up his tent along the road in a small clearing.  He constructed an archway leading into his campsite, which we found curious.

This is one of the biggest trees I have ever seen.   All I could think was it had to of been here before there was a town here.

We had to cross the river, then a little way up the road we came to a barbed wire fence and Brenda wouldn't crawl under it so we never made it to the lot.    I guess that's for another day.
