Sitting around the pool we saw this iguana soaking up the sun. I thought, gee, I wonder with all these rocks, if I look in any direction at all if I would spot an iguana on the rocks. I have read that they have the ability to change their colours slightly, not near as much as a chameleon though.
It turns out there were quite a few of them hanging around the rocks between the pool and the ocean.
holy cow, have I ever mentioned to you that I'm slightly terrified of iguanas?
ReplyDeleteWell, you will get to face your fears when you come to Mexico. :)
DeleteBrenda & Gerry, We miss you already. What is the name of the place you are staying. I kayaked down to Yal-Ku Lagoon yesterday. It started getting windy so I paddled back to Xpu-Ha.
ReplyDeleteWe are staying at Mi Casa del Mar. It is in the bay past Half Moon Bay....some people call it Turtle Bay, others call it Akumal Bay, so I am not sure what it is actually called.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to get onto google earth and find out where Yal-Ku Lagoon is. We hope to see you all on Friday night at Pizza Leo's!!!
We just went for a walk down to the Cenote/Lagoon, and it is in fact Yal Ku. It took us one hour to stroll over there and back.
